Anna Reeve BSc (Hons) DO PGCE
Anna graduated from the European School of Osteopathy in Maidstone www.eso.ac.uk in 1988 and has practiced as an Osteopath, within Kent, ever since. She is a member of the General Osteopathic Council www.osteopathy.org.uk and the Institute of Osteopathy www.osteopathy.org/osteopathy.
Anna has taught at Undergraduate level at the European School of Osteopathy from 1988, until autumn 2016 and at The Surrey Institute of Osteopathic Medicine www.nescot.ac.uk/higher-education/osteopathic-medicine in both the classroom setting and the Student Teaching Clinics. At both Osteopathic Institutions Anna worked with curriculum development, helping shape the student learning experience.
After completing her undergraduate education, Anna trained under the late John Wernham www.johnwernhamclassicalosteopathy.com in order to further master the osteopathic method often known as the General Osteopathic Treatment (GOT) or Body Adjustment (BA) and is a member of the Institute of Classical Osteopathy www.classical-osteopathy.org. This method of treatment follows gentle, articulatory movements to the joints of the body and spine, working on relaxing the soft tissues such as muscles and ligaments, in order to bring about a more harmonious integration and therefore freedom, of body movement.
After Graduating, Anna worked with Stuart Korth www.stuartkorth.com in Tunbridge Wells and under his guidance developed her skills with Cranial technique. Again this is a series of gentle movements, designed to bring about relaxation and harmony within the body. These techniques are particularly useful if a patient is in acute pain or in the treatment of children.
Anna’s other interests have taken her to study Qi Gong and she is currently completing a Diploma in Naturopathy.
Anna also practices at the multi-disciplinary Alternative Health Centre she set up in Headcorn, Headcorn Natural Health Centre www.hnhc.org.
